To address the urgent need for upskilling of regional tax professionals in preparation for the new UAE federal corporate tax (CT) from 1 June 2023, PwC’s Academy, the talent and skills development business of PwC, has introduced a globally recognised UAE Corporate Tax Diploma that will provide comprehensive knowledge of the new regulations, legislation requirements and their practical application.
The Diploma examination is approved by the UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA). The course has been attended by a select group of staff from the FTA and UAE Ministry of Finance (MoF).
Developed in partnership with the Association of Tax Technicians (ATT) and Tolley (UK), the leading global provider of tax study materials, this certification adds to the Academy’s suite of Tax training solutions for all levels of staff in both the public and private sector.
The introduction of corporate tax in the UAE signals a strengthening of the Emirates’ position as a global hub for business and investment, and helps meet tax transparency and compliance requirements for international corporations. With a rate of 9% on business profits, the new tax will be among the most competitive tax regimes in the world.

The Corporate Tax Diploma is delivered by highly experienced tax professionals, who have trained 5,000+ tax professionals. Developed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the tax system, the four-module training programme includes general principles; the qualification, evaluation and calculation of taxable income according to organisational structure, classification and location; and the practical steps for each element of the process.
