HSBC, one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organizations, announced its partnership as a corporate sponsor for the India Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
The MoU signing ceremony, held at The Indian Consulate in Dubai, was attended by Dr Aman Puri, Consul General of India, Dubai & Dy. Commissioner General for India at Expo 2020 Dubai, Mr Abdulfattah Sharaf, CEO, HSBC UAE & Head of International Markets, Mr Dilip Chenoy, Secretary General, FICCI and Mr Sai Narain CDK, Head of International Markets and Customer Channels, Wealth & Personal Banking, EMEA, HSBC.
The magnificent India Pavilion will be inaugurated by Shri Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs & Food & Public Distribution and Textiles, Government of India on 1st October 2021 which will be followed by a cultural programme.
Commenting on the MoU, Dr Aman Puri, Consul General of India, Dubai & Dy. The India Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai is one of the biggest platforms, that offers a golden opportunity to showcase India to the world and project the country as the next hub for growth and innovation.
India’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai will primarily focus on presenting unlimited opportunities for the global community to participate in the country’s growth story, and benefit from it. It will showcase a modern, robust India, high on technology while simultaneously exhibiting the beauty of Indian art, culture, and cuisine during the event that will run for 183 days till 31 March 2022.

The India Pavilion, which is one of the largest pavilions at the Expo 2020 Dubai will feature an innovative kinetic façade made up of 600 individual colourful blocks. It is developed as a mosaic of rotating panels that will depict different themes as they rotate on their axis. It represents the theme of ‘India on the move’ and is a unique amalgam of the rich heritage and technological advances of the nation
The India Pavilion will also be hosting and co-creating leadership discussions, international trade conferences, and seminars to explore opportunities to partner with other participating nations.
