Stafford Global has announced a new partnership with the University of Stirling to launch a suite of part-time postgraduate degree programmes delivered via online and distance learning. Students can study any of the eight new courses from anywhere in the world and graduate with a Masters degree from a top-ranked UK university.
The new programmes cover a range of subjects that respond to emerging global trends and societal concerns, including a Masters in Public Health, an MSc in Business Analytics, MSc in Big Data and an MSc in Data Science for Business. The partnership will also provide access to postgraduates programmes in highly specialised disciplines, including Sports Performance Coaching, Global Ageing, Dementia Studies, and Substance Abuse.
The collaboration builds on Stafford Global’s existing portfolio of partnerships with top-ranking UK universities, which offers a range of study options from Bachelors degrees through to doctoral level programmes, all delivered via specially designed online and distance learning curricula.
Speaking about the partnership, Stafford Global’s Group CEO, Refaat Kazoun, said, “This represents a unique opportunity for working professionals in the region to access distance learning programmes that are particularly relevant to the current time, both in subject matter and delivery format.”
“Public health has clearly become a major concern beyond government and clinical organisations in the past year and this Masters programme will equip professionals from different backgrounds to apply important public health principles and protocols within their workplace.”
“Similarly, big data literacy will be a critical skill in the future as concerns surrounding the collection, application, and security of mass data pervade across more sectors and professions. The MSc in this discipline will deliver the sought-after knowledge to tackle emerging challenges in this field.”
Explaining the delivery format, Stafford Global’s Managing Director, Dr. Timothy Campbell said, “These programmes have been specifically structured and designed to be undertaken remotely. Rather than taking a traditional classroom-based course and placing it online, as we saw most institutions were forced to do last year, the curriculum is built upon years of tried and tested distance learning techniques.”
“From our 27 years in the field, we have found that this format works well for working professionals who want to continue their education and earn a top-tier degree, but cannot take the time out to study full-time, or perhaps do not have the resources to pay a full year’s tuition up front. These programmes combine course texts, industry expert interactions, and tutorial support that can be accessed at anytime, anywhere and learners can benefit from a flexible fee structure to pay as they progress.”
Speaking on behalf of the University of Stirling, Deputy Principal, Professor Neville Wylie said, “I am delighted with this exciting new development. Stafford Global is a sector leader in connecting online learners with world-class academic degrees. Our partnership represents a major element in the development of the University’s online portfolio, and I am confident that the programmes promoted via Stafford Global will prove popular.”
“The range of courses marketed by Stafford Global reflect our key research and teaching strengths. Stirling was ranked 28th in the 2021 Guardian University Guide, with its Business courses ranked in the top 15. The Times Higher Education Impact survey (2021) placed the University in the Global Top 100 of universities contributing to the attainment of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal of ‘good health and well-being’, while our prowess in sport was reflected in the University being named the Times and Sunday Times Sport University of the Year in 2020.”
The programmes are now open to applications for September 2021.
